Who Is Okey Igwe?

Okey Igwe aka Ahanna whose real name is Okechukwu Igwe is a Nigerian actor known for the 1995 Nollywood movie 'Rattlesnake' which is a Nollywood classic film that sold over 4 million copies as at that time.

Okechukwu Igwe (Ahanna) is the brother in-law of the late Amaka Igwe who was the producer of Rattlesnake and Checkmate.

Okey Igwe's handsome face and good acting skill got him so many fans. But he disappeared immediately after featuring in Rattlesnake. For over 20 years, fans kept asking where Okey Igwe of Ahanna Rattlesnake fame is. Some even thought that he was dead but no! He is alive and in good health.

Okey Igwe was actually about traveling to the United States of America to further his education when he shot Rattlesnake. He eventually traveled abroad after shooting Rattlesnake.

But Okechukwu Igwe Ahanna is back! He has granted an interviews to Afia TV & Pep Tv.

Amaka Igwe (2 January 1963 – 28 April 2014) was a Nigerian filmmaker and broadcasting executive. She died in Enugu on 28th April 2014 at 8:30 pm, after efforts failed to save her from an asthma exacerbation.

Amaka Igwe had three (3) children - 2 sons and 1 daughter. One of her children is a lawyer now.

On 4th August 2023, Okey Igwe, Nollywood pioneer and main character of the movie Rattle snake (Ahanna) had an interview with the Eastern Eye.
