"It’s not interesting where you’ve been & your pain, people just want to see where you are now which is fair; Until someone thinks you just landed where you are then you have to explain something:
I’m a Media & Journalism Graduate who after studying could not get the job I studied for & for this reason had to go start ‘Waiting Tables’ at Primi Bazala in Soweto and while working night shifts I was staying in Braamfontein travelling back and forth without caring about safety as I had to survive and being beautiful was the last thing I cared about, I just wanted to get somewhere in life. My 2 best friends and I had to move & rent a house together in Soweto for 2 years literally sleeping on the floor without money to buy beds and at this time I was 6 months pregnant with my son and sleeping with him inside me on the floor, but I still thought I was blessed to have shelter.
> I then got a job at a call center in Hyde park where I got paid by commission & someone had to agree to do a survey for me to get R47 & if 20 people agreed a month, that’s all I got paid- pregnant, sleeping on the floor & getting paid cents, but I considered myself blessed because I had a job to wake up to.
> A year later I moved to work at Avusa Media selling Newspaper subscriptions on the phone and got paid the number of subscriptions I made a month.
> I then applied & got a job as a sales person at Kurt Geiger Sandton where I stood from 8am until 8pm & getting paid rent money & a complaint got you fired, but still I was working & I thanked God for it to this day.
> I joined theatre coached by the Market Theatre practitioner Themba Mkhoma & we performed without earning a cent, I cried myself to sleep every night but woke up every day & went to rehearsals without complaining because at least I was doing something with my life.
> finally landed in the biggest show in South Africa Generations the legacy and that was not Luck, it was pure blessings for being humble & not giving up!
> I’m studying in Amsterdam and have my own business, not because I’m special or better than anyone else but because I didn’t mind starting from the ground up! Be Humble, it will happen in God’s Time!"

"All my life I’ve had to hustle my way through and fend forward, never been given things on a silver platter.
