What did Uju Anya say? Uju Anya blasted out Queen Elizabeth II of England during her death over the death of her family members back in Nigeria during the Nigerian-Biafra civil war.
"I heard the chief monarch of a thieving raping genocidal empire is finally dying. May her pain be excruciating. "

Uju Anya Twitter Post about the late Queen sparked outrage, reactions and lots of comments for and against.
Dear Professor Uju Anya,
The death, even of the most odious pet, is a loss. Your comment on the late Queen Elizabeth II is uncalled for and irresponsible. It belittled you and everything you stand for.
Like any other human being, the late Queen has her family and loved ones who are in deep sorrow over her passing. Empathy and emotional intelligence are required at this juncture and, without mincing words, you demonstrated a lack of both.
Yes, the late Queen symbolized empire and, across all former British colonies, the anguish called empire is still very much with us. The scars can never heal and we will never forget.
Notwithstanding our pain, our anguish, and our pang, we certainly recognize the irreparable loss the passing of the Queen is truly is. We respect her person as we recognize the institution she represented. We stood by her family and the entire United Kingdom at this trying time and wish the Queen a peaceful rest in the Bossom of the Lord.
In turn, we wish you peace and encourage you to purge yourself of the hatred and bitterness that you so blatantly expressed on the queen's death.

COLONIAL SEED, ITS FRUIT AND THE CONINUES INTELLECTUAL FIGHT OF ITS AFTERMATH: The Demise of the Queen.
I hv gone through Professor Uju Anya's post before the Queens death and the public responses and reactions to it.
As a social science student, I think I have gain fair knowledge of the antics of colonialism and how it afflicted the African societies. Those that had interest in writing about that told us that our colonisers were inhumane and brutal.
While going through the pages of related literature one is very likely to develop this feeling of hate towards the imperial powers.
There has been a continues intellectual confront among Western and African scholars as to what fruit the seed of colonialism has produce or is producing in most African societies. One of such African scholars is Professor Uju Anya a US based Nigerian professor of applied Linguistics.
I am made to understand Prof Anya is linguist at the Carnegie Mellon University, where she teaches applied linguistics. in one of her defense she wrote; “I am the main scholar looking at race and experiences of Blackness in language learning and one of the few who examine language education from a social justice perspective.”
knowing Anya's intellectual background, I understand her position on the said issue, there are just lots of her out there.
MY TAKE: Though colonialism did us bad, am not in support of such post, it makes us look inhumane just like them, also, we cant continue to see wrong in what the imperialist did to us while we celebrate some of our leaders who are more barbaric, inflicting more pains on us even when the colonialist are gone.
Knowing what to say is critical .
Professor Uju Anya university expressed her wish for the Queen to have an “excruciating death” and that has caught the attention of everyone. She was speaking from the Colonization experience.
Twitter has even deleted the post.
We must all learn how to manage our thoughts and emotions online . Be careful . Hatred in any form is not something that you must allow to linger in you.
