"#Throwback vibes 🇳🇬🇳🇬
Inspired by @_drhakeem this morning; I have decided to also recall my National Youth Service Corps days. 🧗🏽♀️
To shed some more light for the non-Nigerians, the #NYSC is a program where all tribes, ethnicities and backgrounds have an opportunity to interact and build bonds.
It “serves” to foster National Pride while working to develop potential, build competency and optimize performance within our Institutions 👩🏽🔬🧑🏽✈️
albeit unsteadily, due to our current struggles with security.
Do let us into your #nyscdiary don’t worry, you haven’t changed that much 🙂

1 Every woman.
It will gladden me to live in a world where women aren’t in constant fear for their safety.
Great work 👍🏽 @awb.network for helping to expand us & the society at large on ways to resist confined and familiar paths of patriarchal structure!
We must also question how women’s safety is often the reason why we are taken off opportunities.🪶
And by acknowledging how this stifles our collective potential, we can build a more wholistic future ahead.

2 International Women Day May 2021
"It's International women's day, a day to not only reflect on the incredible progress and strength of women all over the world but also to speak up about the task we have in the fight for women's rights.
@WaterAidNg invited nine women from different fields in Nigeria for an International Women’s Day photo session as we #ChooseToChallenge the pervasive stereotypes that suggest that women are in constant competition to bring each other down rather than working together for mutual good.
The goal is to shine a light and celebrate these women intentionally, and to consistently elevate and support women.
Most times women have the primary responsibility for home management which includes household water supply and sanitation, but without access to safe water, it is almost impossible to be productive and live healthy lives.
Join us today and every other day as we commit to improving the lives of women in our communities with access to safe water and a better life.
3 Who Is A Leader?
“I define a leader as anyone who takes responsibility for finding the potential in people and processes, and who has the courage to develop that potential.”
Success is not defined by the title you hold or the number in your bank account; it is better defined as waking up everyday knowing you’ve contributed to your community.

7 "Stealing Happiness Back From Comfort 🛌
The most important days of our life - are the day we are born and the day we find our why!
Day in day out, I realize that all around me I see conditionings take its course making even deep conversations become shallow.
All this due to a bandit otherwise known as comfort.
As I look to draw inspiration around me, I find our raison d’etre being eroded by the need to position ourselves in great comforts and the ‘ease’ that accompany it.
Comfort tries to convince you that change is unsafe and will bring unworthy consequences. The part of our brain responsible for this unfortunately keeps us in deep seated behavioral patterns and in a rut; stealing and preventing us from discovering true joy and happiness.
As I journey through life so far, I feel more inclined towards my existential experience to accepting of these displacements as direction signs towards my God-given tasks.
Now don’t go letting anxiety take over your mind, it’s nothing like Navy seal training!!
Its good to know that our tasks actually come in accommodating shifts; where you never really realize how far you can go till you look to where you started.
To cut my morning musings short; I really don’t know why we are here, but I’m pretty sure that it is not in order to just enjoy ourselves or to sit on the fence."

What pieces of the world/state/country/school/family puzzle 🧩 do you have in your possession?

9 "WATER BEYOND POLITICS💧
As I journey further into self-discovery; I find that volunteering is one of the keys to my personal & mental happiness.
Research has also identified a link between making a donation to charity and increased activity in the area of the brain that registers pleasure!😍
I remain grateful at the opportunities & privilege to improve the lives of others. Even as it comes with its own sense of obligation; I find that acting on these powerful feelings of responsibility is a great way to reinforce my personal values and allows me to justify my belief that there’s more to life, a greater good. 💫
This feeling is reinforced when friends and family are encouraged to support causes important to them through my actions.
Giving is definitely contagious.

12 "📍BACK in OFFICE....
#December with me is a vision quest and a vision board all wrapped in one!
I am learning a lovely thing from Water: To resist defiance, to adjust myself in every situation, and most importantly - To find my own way to Flow 🌊
I am a seeker in my natural state, a forever traveler.. My life is a string of eureka moments of ‘right’ place, ‘right’ time miracles.
Spontaneity, truth, freedom are all part of my ancestral DNA and I hope to continue supporting shifts, lifts and gifted pathways to all I meet on the journey in an equal exchange of deeper healing themes
Just don’t ask my opinions on matters unless you are ready for raw, unfiltered truth.
I realize people will either love or hate ~ never inbetween.
It’s that season again! ♑️
