Just today on Twitter I found another girl whose dad was arrested with mine. Ned Nwoko how many of our fathers do you want to arrest? Why can’t you just leave our fathers alone? Yesterday it was someone’s uncle, then another person’s classmate.
Ned Nwoko uses his influence to bully my people and take over their land, my people are being oppressed everyday by this man who wants to call the shots and determine who breathes. If you’re not in his camp you’re seen as an enemy. All my father did was to tell him to follow a due process in acquiring the land, my father pleaded with him to pay compensation to the farmers who he had destroyed their crops and negotiate for an outright purchase of respective land but Ned Nwoko didn’t heed to his advice, since then he has been bent on frustrating my father and the community.
Ned Nwoko has caused so much pain to my family, my mother especially 🥺 who hardly sleeps at night, each time I enter her room at night I see her staring out the window or at the wall😭 I pray with her, I try to comfort her, I beg her to stop overthinking but all she wants is her husband back home again. Last year my innocent father was detained for 5 good months, from January 24th to May12th (he was released on her birthday) that was our happiest day in 2020.
But then we all thought it was over, until the Nigerian police sent by Ned Nwoko ambushed my father on his way back from court in Abuja. I need the Nigerian police to tell the world about it’s investigations and tell us what were the basis for them to conclude an ambush and arrest my father. This conspiracy and unfair treatment has to stop! How would they feel if someone did this to their daughters? I would post an article on the case so you all could see for yourselves that this is all just excessive use of power to intimidate my father and the others who her tied to the case also.

This is the phrase we have been hearing as we move from office to office trying to secure the release of My father & other idumuje-ugboko men who have been unlawfully detained for almost 2 months without being issued a warrant of arrest. The entire asaba police division claim to have no hand in an arrest that is to be tried in delta state high court but they keep holding these innocent men. Who then is this person above giving this order?.
My father together with men from my community have been facing unending intimidation from the Nigerian police force. How would you arrest a man on an offense that was dismissed by the court. Even the Ipo initially refused to be part of this arrest because he had handled the case before. These men have been arraigned before the federal high court in Abuja, where they spent 5months in detention before the federal high court awarded them bail.
He travelled down to Abuja from asaba every time just so he could appear before the court. He was Also arraigned and charged for this same offense in delta state high court where the case was dismissed for lack of merit.
On his way back from abuja "where he went to appear in court", DSP Bitrus Dauda.took my father and detained him at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) for 6 days without any charge or trial before he moved them to the Police Headquarters Asaba, Delta State on the 31st of March, 2021.
On this same matter, without an appeal. How are they still holding him. Who ordered the arrest?. Why are the Nigerian police so scared?. Why do they follow orders blindly?. Ned Nwoko, I put it to you that you are behind this intimidation and abuse of power?
