Earlier today, protests rocked the National Assembly as National Assembly Staff Protest over non-payment of Allowances. The Senate President, Saraki and the Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan have reacted to the protest.

After presiding over a mediation meeting between PASAN and the Management of the National Assembly, Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Saraki, addressed the protesters.
The Senate Leader, Ahmad Lawan, addressed the press over the protest by National Assembly Staff. He says, “The protest is not against leadership of the National Assembly, the protest is against the National Management (staff).”
Meanwhile, Senate President, Bukola Saraki
and Speaker Yakubu Dogara have directed the Nass Nigeria Management Committee headed by the Clerk, Alhaji Sani Omolori, to resolve all issues raised by protesting members of staff by Friday.
